Husqvarna 390 WR rebuilt shock pair with spring choices
Your shocks are rebuilt and you have the original springs to put
back on them. Before you sent them in you realized you were
preloaded to the max and hope was that revalving will help the rear
suspension. Your weight is 225 as an adult, not particularly
heavy, but not as light as a 160 lb 20 something that probably owned
the bike when new.
The fact is revalving will help the shock action, but correct springs
are the real answer to you achieving the correct ride height and being
able to compete on the bike as intended. Fast motocross or tight
woods handling requires correct ride height.
Springs and spring design cost money. There is no getting around this.
Using the springs you have is always an inexpensive choice. It would be
best to skip a couple pizzas and beers. Save a couple bucks toward
springs set.
It is possible that purchasing a single set of progressive springs
could fit your needs and be a low cost method of achieving a great
ride. $120
It might be best to go with upgraded dual spring set, cost a little more, but might be best for motocross - $170-220
It might be even better to have the latest triple spring set to handle
modern tracks like a pro, cost slightly more - $220-250
